Welcome to the official website of the Kutztown Bicentennial celebration. This website will be used to publicize events related to the bicentennial as well as provide an abbreviated history of the Kutztown area, photographs, and other information.
All Kutztown area civic groups, churches, and individual citizens are invited to participate in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the incorporation of Kutztown as a borough in Pennsylvania. The Bicentennial Committee wants the celebration to be as inclusive as possible to promote civic awareness and community cooperation in Kutztown, not only for the bicentennial celebration, but afterwards as well. If you or your organization would like to participate in the planning and execution of celebratory events, please contact a member of the Bicentennial Committee (or go to the Contact page of this website).
The countdown toward 2015 has begun. Let’s make the Kutztown Bicentennial as memorable as the 1915 and 1965 celebrations.
| There will be an annual "Brew and Que" event at the new Saucony Creek Brewing Company location to raise funds for the 2015 celebration. The event will consist of a 50/50 quoits tournament, live music, beer sampling, pig roast, auction and other backyard BBQ activities. The event will be held this year on Saturday, August 3, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and tickets are set to go on sale June 15. More information can be found here as details are finalized. |
